• Personal Achievement in Sports
  • Award to the individual(s) who has achieved outstanding performance in international competition, local/open competition, intervarsity competition and others (Sports include all those with National Sports Associations affiliated to ANY National Olympic Committee under the auspice of the International Olympic Committee).
  • When more than one individual have the same achievement, the award shall be shared equally.
• Team Achievement in Sports
  • Award to the HKUST Team which has achieved the highest-ranking (the top 4 teams ranking) in international competition, local/open competition, intervarsity competition and others (Sports include all those with National Sports Associations affiliated to ANY National Olympic Committee under the auspice of the International Olympic Committee).
  • When more than one team achieves the same highest ranking, the award shall be shared equally.
• Outstanding Sports Group
  • Award to sports group who has outstanding contribution in organizing university-wide sports events for the student/ university/ larger community and has demonstrated good team spirit and served as good model in active promotion of sports in HKUST.
• Selection of Awardees
  • The Selection Panel, consisted of staff and student representatives, will assess the applications and select the awardees based on the assessment criteria.
  • The selection should be open and fair so that the award recipients are well-deserved the honor. When there is no suitable awardee in a particular category in a particular year, no award will be issued.

Cash awards amount for each Award:

• Personal Achievement in Sports: Max. of HK$5,000
• Team Achievement in Sports: Max. of HK$5,000
• Outstanding Sports Group: Max. of HK$5,000

A Certificate of Achievement will be presented to each awardee.
 

Complete the application/nomination form, together with supporting documents such as copies of certificates wherever applicable, and send it to:  aefsports@ust.hk

Application:

• All full-time HKUST students including undergraduate, postgraduate and exchange-in students

Nomination:

• Any member of the University is welcome to nominate candidates for the Awards
